144.

If a person has reservations about something in one of the Holy Books, should the believer avoid asking honest questions if he might not like the answers?

Bible: No       Qur'an: Yes

Acts 17:11 – 11. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

1 John 4:1 – 1. Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Al-Baqarah 2:108 – Or would you then question your Prophet as Moses was once questioned? He who changes belief for disbelief surely strays from the right path.

Al-Ma'idah 5:101-102 – 101. O you who believe! Ask not of things which, if they were made known to you, would trouble you; but if you ask of them when the Qur’an is being revealed, they will be made known to you. 102. A people before you asked, and then disbelieved therein.
